Program overview

The mission of the Wilton basketball program is to provide the best possible environment and experience to each and every student athlete, in which they can excel daily in the classroom and on the playing field.  The game of basketball is used as a tool to educate, promote and instill the qualities necessary to succeed in the real world both on and off the court.

We expect all players to conduct themselves appropriately on and off the court.  Remember that you represent yourself, your team and your community at all times.

The Goal of our program is to compete with the best in the FCIAC and the State. We expect our student athletes to give 100% on the floor, in the classroom, and in our community.

We field 3 teams: Varsity, Junior Varsity and a Freshman team. We do not like to think of ourselves as 3 individual teams. The JV and Varsity teams will always be together at practice. Freshman, we want to teach fundamentals and start building your character as a person and a player.

We keep 18-20 players on JV/Varsity and we keep 12 players on Freshman. We believe that this is the best way for us to teach the game and keep all participants involved throughout practice and in the games.
