Wilton topples top-seed Trumbull in FCIAC semis

FAIRFIELD — The FCIAC boys basketball final will have a new look to it this year.

Wilton is headed to the championship game for the first time after upsetting top-seeded Trumbull 72-66 in the semifinals Tuesday at Fairfield Warde High School.

“This team, it was just their time to get here,” Wilton coach Joel Geriak said. “We’ve had some teams the last couple years get to the semis, and this team, their goal was to get here and obviously win it. That’s the next goal.”  Read More…
