Head Varsity Joel Geriak

Coach Geriak is entering his 14th season as the Head Varsity coach. He has an overall record of (195-104). Over his 14 years Coach Geriak has earned two coaching of the year awards (2013 and 2021). The Warriors have been to 13 FCIAC playoffs, 6 semi-finals, and 2 finals. They have made the CIAC State tournament every year since Coach Geriak has been at the helm. They have made the CIAC semi-finals twice (2017 and 2022). Coach Geriak was an assistant coach and Head JV basketball coach at New Canaan High School from 2001-2011. He was interim Head Coach in 2006 going (7-3) over that span. Coach Geriak is currently the Co-Head Coach of the New Canaan Softball team with Danielle Simoneau. They won the FCIACs in 2013. They also won Coach of the year in 2024. Coach Geriak also coached football at New Canaan High School from 2002-2005 as an assistant coach and head Sophomore coach. Helping with a 2002 state championship and a FCIAC Runner-Up. Coach Geriak was on the New Canaan baseball coaching staff from 2003-2009 helping with an FCIAC championship in 2006. Coach Geriak also was the offensive coordinator for the Wilton Warriors football team in 2019 helping them make the CIAC State tournament for the first time since 1995. Coach Geriak played his high school basketball at Westhill High School, where he was a 2-year starter and team captain his senior year. He helped Westhill to the State semifinals his junior year. After high school Coach Geriak went on to play at Division II Concordia College in New York. He was a 2-year starter for the Clippers.

Head JV and Assistant Varsity Derek Oliver

Coach Oliver is entering his 11th season as a varsity assistant coach. This will be his 6th year as Head JV Coach. He was the Head Freshman Coach for his first 5 years on the staff. Coach Oliver played his high school days at nearby Brien McMahon high school. He was a 3 year starter and played varsity all four years. He went on to play college basketball at Division III Curry College. Derek works at Brien McMahon as head of special education.

Head Freshman and Assistant Varsity Blake Billmeyer

Coach Billmeyer is entering his 2nd year in the Warrior program and first as the Head Freshman Coach. Coach Billmeyer has over 30 years of coaching between basketball and Softball. He was the 8th grade travel coach for 25 years in the WBA youth travel in Wilton.
